Application of Bus Passenger Counter on Mini buses

Bus Passenger Counter are increasingly used in public transportation systems and have become a key tool for improving operational efficiency and service quality.

The technology of bus passenger flow counters has been improving. The main significance of the application of bus passenger flow counters is to count the passenger load of buses in real time and accurately. It can count the number of passengers in real time and the number of passengers getting on and off the bus, so that the bus dispatching platform can dispatch vehicle configuration based on data. Mastering the passenger load of vehicles is helpful for various departments to supervise and manage vehicles as necessary.

The data provided by the Bus Passenger Counter can also enable passengers to view the vehicle route and passenger load through software.

Bus Passenger Counter have different application methods for different types of buses.

For example, traditional fuel buses, from the initial manual counting statistics, to the use of infrared passenger flow counter equipment, to the beam type passenger flow equipment, however, these devices are not very ideal for counting people during peak hours. Therefore,video counters, binocular counters, and AI counters have also come into being.

Regarding the mini bus or Vans:

1. Our engineer recommend installing it outside of the mini bus, because in many cases, there will be an extra seat at the door of the bus, or many people will be crowded at the door of the bus, resulting in inaccurate counting, so Engineer do not recommend installing it inside of  the bus.

2. If you choose to install it outside the bus, you need a waterproof cover. You can find a local manufacturer to customize this waterproof cover, or we can also make it for you, but we have not done it so far.

As shown in the picture, so if you plan to install it outside the mini bus, suggest you can test the bus counter sample firstly, and when bus counter testing is  satisfied, we will find our China's manufacturer to make a waterproof cover for you and then quote.
